her prized possessions

everyone who knows megan knows that she loves her binkies! she will never settle for one or two either...she needs at least 4 or 5 with her at all times. (i know i need to get her off the binkies and for the most part she just has them at night but soon i will try to get her off them completely.)

she has been really sick for what seems like the past decade or so and has been sleeping in my bed for the last couple weeks. every night i tuck her in bed along with her 5 binkies. i always ask her "which one of these binkies is mine?" she frantically grabs all her binkies and tells me that they are all hers.

but every night right before she falls asleep she reaches out in the darkness and puts one of her binkies in my hand and whispers "this one is for you mommy". i love that she is willing to share her prized possessions with me and it makes all the frustration of dealing with a sick 2 year old disappear.

this past weekend was the clark county fair. we signed dallin up for mutton bustin. for those of you who don't know what this is, it is basicaly bull riding for little kids but they ride sheep. dallin did so great and we were so proud of him. his sheep was the fastest one and the crowd cheered the most for his exciting ride.
brandon coached him and told him to hold on as tight as he could to the sheeps wool. he made it almost to the very end of the arena before he fell .

then he spent the next few minutes digging dirt out of his helmet. he won 5 dollars and was so excited. we are so proud of our little boy!

valley of fire

the valley of fire is just a short drive for us so the other day we took the kids there. we had a picnic and then just climbed around on the rocks. the kids had so much fun!

the stone has started going on. this was one of the most stressful decisions for me but i am happy with how it turned out.

megan has a little play room attached to her bedroom. this is where her kitchen, dolls, strollers and her little table and chairs are going to go.
