Sitting Bull

dallin came home from school yesterday completely panicked! he informed me that tomorrow (which is today) is dress up as your favorite character from a book day. he really wanted to be venom. i then proceeded to tell him that there was no way i could find a venom costume in one day. after which he proceeded to throw himself on the ground crying. i can remember being in school and how very important these things seem. i hugged my little boy and could feel the disappointment and frustration ooze out of him. brandon and i had planned a much needed date night but i was willing to call it off to help dallin find a suitable costume for today. lucky for me though...grandma becky came to the rescue. she offered to take dallin down to the local ace hardware to try and find something (there is really nothing else in town, which would ask the question...why didn't the school give us a little more notice? anyway...) they found a bow & arrow and lucky for us dallin is very easy going and was quickly talked into being Sitting Bull (or as dallin called it "city bull".) grandma bought some flannel and came home and whipped up this indian costume. when we got home dallin was literally jumping up and down with excitment and couldn't wait to show us. i am glad this crisis was averted and i am thankful to grandma and her amazing sewing skills!
