i left my heart in san francisco

last week brandon and i escaped and went to san francisco. it was so much fun! i had never been there before and loved having a brand new city to explore. the golden gate bridge is beautiful! we went on a ferry under the bridge and around alcatraz.

we saw wicked!! it was amazing and ties for my #1 spot with les mis. i have listened to it non-stop ever since and can't wait to see it again.

we biked from fisherman's wharf, across the golden gate bridge into the little town of saulalito. it was a 10 mile bike ride. i love that i can say that i biked across the bridge.
right before we boarded the ferry.

beautiful boats at the wharf

ghiradelli square! here we enjoyed fabulous ice cream sundaes. YUM!

alcatraz island

this was one of my favorite things that we did. we rented this go car. it is like a side by side mo-ped. it had a GPS inside that would tell us where to go and some of the history of san francisco. we got a few weird looks and a lot of pictures taken of us but it was so much fun.

we did a night tour of alcatrz. it was facinating to hear about all that went on in this prison.

we went to the aquarium at the wharf
we found the best little desserts ever!! it is this amazing donut shop down at the wharf. they were little pieces of heaven with cinnamon sugar.
we walked down famous lombard street.

we had such a great time we are already planning our next adventure!

women's conference

a few weeks ago i went with my mom and sister to women's conference. it was so much fun. my mom and sisters are my best friends. i laugh with them and love hanging out with them. my sister, deelynn, couldn't come with us and we missed her tons but still managed to have a great time.
can i just say that i heart the sweet tooth fairy!! i dream about them and am counting down the days til the one opens in st. george. is it completely pathetic that i will drive an hour for a cupcake? i think not!!

this was all that was left. just thinking of it now makes my mouth water!

my mom and jess

we are going to make this trip a yearly tradition. i learned so much and came home loving my divine role as a mother!
